The first alteration will appear on the page view option button. The second on the attachment view page and the third will appear directly inside the edit mode.

In Page View (single or multiple)

  2. Copy attachments from a template page
  3. Search your recently visited pages (by leaving the textfield empty and clicking inside the drop-down bar will appear)

Choose one or more attachments you want to copy.

Give it a new name or keep the old one.

Done! You now have a new attachment on your page.

In Attachment View (single or multiple)

If there are already attachments saved to this page, you can also easily copy single attachments to the same or different page.

In edit mode press Ctrl + Shift + Z or go to the drop-down menu of the Insert menu:

In Edit View (single)

What is a template page?

You or your admin can set a default template page. If it is set by you, then the template page is personal. If it is set by your admin, then the template page is global.

The template page contains attachments which can be used as templates. For example it will contain the logos and basic formatted letters for your business. In the Confluence Administration section your Confluence Administrator will find the settings to set a global template page. For more information about the admin section read the next section (How do I administer CopyAttachment?).

How do I administer CopyAttachment (as a System Administrator)?

Note

You must be System Administrator of your Confluence instance to use this feature.

In the Confluence Administration you will find a section for the CopyAttachment Add-on. Click on the Cog-Icon in the upper right corner → General Configuration → go all the way to the bottom and you will find the section for CopyAttachment. Click on Configure CopyAttachment App and you will see the following screen:

You can choose between two options:

  • "Users must use the Global Template Page" → This means, that users cannot set their own template page and will always be directed to the global template page when clicking on "from template page"
  • "Users can set their personal Template Page" → This means, that users can set their own template page. If they haven't set any page, the global template page will appear.
